1. Disable Prefetch:

-Select the file path “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters”
-Right-click on EnablePrefetcher
-Select Modify on each of these two to change the value from 1 (or possibly a 3) to 0
-Restart when you get a chance.

2. Disable Degrag Schedule – Right click on c drive, properties, tools, optimize, Changes settings, Uncheck run on a schedule, OK, and close.

3. Disable indexing – Go to control panel, services, double click on windows search, disable and apply, ok.

Click your start button
Type in “control panel”
Click advanced system settings
Under advanced, performance, click settings
Select the option for adjust for best performance
Click OK.
